This week in Raw Photos of the Week – YES Photographs (#19), I invite you to explore two worlds where the body becomes canvas and armor, between floral softness and warrior power. On one side, lush body painting, skin magnified by a tropical garden in bloom, like an embodiment of absolute nature. A tropical and fiery warrior body painting theme.
On the other, a modern warrior, leather and metal fused with flesh, adorned with sensual armor handcrafted by artist Savannah Wildchild, ready to defend her desires and dreams. Two faces of femininity: between organic delicacy and forged strength, between plant life and the brilliance of battle, united in the same creative breath.

A vibrant alliance of tropical body painting and fiery warrior spirit
This series was born out of a desire to celebrate the inherent duality of the body: both a fragile vessel and an invincible armor. I wanted to paint this tension—not to confront it, but to make it vibrate in harmony.
Tropical blossoms
The bodypaint blossoms like an intimate jungle. Each petal, each vine wraps around the curves, highlighting the hollows and contours, evoking the luxuriance of a secret paradise. Tropical flowers—hibiscus, birds of paradise, orchids—become extensions of the skin, celebrating life, color, and the breath of living things. This image embodies gentleness, wonder, and surrender to the beauty of the world.
The sensual warrior
Mirroring this, Savannah Wildchild's creation elevates armor to an art form. Fine leather, delicate rivets, and carefully studied cutouts: each piece hugs the body, revealing latent power. This armor is not a straitjacket, but a second skin—a promise of strength and freedom. The warrior who wears it is not frozen in battle: she is posture, defiance, and confidence. She reminds us that seduction can be a weapon, that vulnerability can coexist with invincibility.
Weaving a narrative, uniting two aesthetics
Between these two figures, I have created breathing space—shots where the flower brushes against the metal, where softness meets sharpness. It is not a question of choosing between nature and armor, but of perceiving the link that unites them: creativity, the body as a field of expression, the feminine as an infinite source of metamorphosis.
Photographing to reveal
Each image is a ritual, an invocation. I don't photograph to document an object, but to bring out a presence. Tropical body paint and sensual armor are pretexts: I seek to summon the energy, the myth, the inner strength that each of us carries within.
Two echoes, one vibration
What if these two women were just reflections of the same soul? One part soft and floral, the other combative and sharp as steel? Two echoes responding to each other, two invitations to embrace all our facets.
Have a great week, everyone!
