High definition lets me give room to detail: the grain of skin, a gaze, a lock of hair. I look for closeness with the person photographed, in images that are sometimes soft, sometimes sharper.

 

Each gallery is a face-to-face encounter. Texture matters as much as the lines of the portrait. I like the eye to be able to linger on a detail, without definition being an end in itself.
