Nude chiaroscuro photography & memory of tribal origins - The body as language

This week in Photos of the Week - YES Photographies (#24), I offer you a double journey through the body: on the one hand, a series of chiaroscuro nudes, where light sculpts silence; on the other, a tribute to the tribal and primitive feminine, between earth, skin and ancient symbols.

Two worlds, two vibrations: one draws the shadow, the other beats to the rhythm of instinct.

Do these photos speak to you? Leave a ❤️ or a comment: I love to know how you feel.

Nude in chiaroscuro

Like an ancient painting, this series explores the artistic female photograph through the pure contrast of light and shadow.every curve becomes suggestion, every gesture, silence.the artistic nude here is not unveiling but a visual touch, almost whispered.I sought an aesthetic close to the masters of chiaroscuro, playing with pictorial light to reveal what the eye doesn't always say: presence, simple and overwhelming.

🎨 A tribute to an age-old artistic tradition

Chiaroscuro is a painting technique that originated in the Renaissance and was sublimated by masters such as CaravaggioRembrandt and Georges de La Tour. It relies on the contrast between intense light and deep shadows to give volume, emotion and dramatic tension to subjects. In this series, I wanted to follow in this tradition, transposing it to women's artistic photography, to reveal the body not in its appearance, but in its symbolic and sensory depth.

Tribal, primitive, alive

This second series pays homage to the body's memory, to the spirit of ancient rituals and to a form of sacred femininity. Painted skins, earth, ashes, feathers, roots... Each element tells a story, an origin... The body becomes speech: it dances, invokes, remembers... Inspired by feminine archetypes, this dreamlike fantasy photo series explores a forgotten link between the body, nature and mystery.

Between shadow sculpture and tribal call

This week, I wanted to explore two forms of strength: 🔹 The one that hides in restraint, the light that caresses without saying. 🔹 And the one that expresses itself in instinct, raw and free, unadorned. One whispers, the other screams. But both tell the same story: the body as a place of passage, between time, memory and vision.

Have a good week,
