What a pleasure to open this new monthly chapter with you, and with a new year too! Happy New Year to you all! As is becoming the tradition of this blog, we begin this cycle with the Visual Narratives. It is an introduction designed to be accessible to everyone, an artistic parenthesis where I set explicit nudity aside to concentrate on atmosphere, set and pure emotion. Make yourself comfortable, the journey starts here.

The World of Magnificent Fairies 2, the Wing and the Grain: Anatomy of a Myth.

Those who follow my logbook know that I have already explored the world of fairies. But an idea kept nagging at me: to go further, to gather years of research and push technical demands up a notch. For this sequel, I didn’t want a watered-down fairy tale or soulless transposed clichés. My aim with this art photography is to give weight, texture and a real physical presence to legendary beings, welcome to the world of fairies.

On set, everything begins with raw material. There is the tangible work, that of outfits improvised from fabric offcuts to sculpt movement, and the complex adornments created by Alena Artistique or Savannah Wildchild. These accessories bring a unique patina, a roughness that the studio light catches. But the real challenge of this series lay in the wings. To obtain these monumental, organic structures, I spent dozens of hours designing and refining generation prompts with artificial intelligence. This digital laboratory work is not a shortcut; it is a design tool in the service of the shoot.

The technical stake played out in post-processing: merging the surgical sharpness of my lenses and the grain of the model’s skin with the digital matter of the wings, without either betraying the other. During the session, I remember adjusting a backlight at length so that the model’s silhouette would be perfectly outlined by a thread of light. It is this luminous anchor point that later made it possible to anchor the wings almost organically in the model’s back, as if they pierced the flesh. The result is not a smoothed-over image, it is a dense painting where the dreamlike is born from the cohabitation of the real and the imaginary, carrying a powerful, sovereign female figure, mistress of her own space.
