The temporary exhibition - "Embodied Intimacies": fantasies and fineart

Updated on 15 August 2026

Welcome to this third post of the month. After storytelling and graphics, today we enter the most sensitive sphere of the studio: Embodied Intimacies. This is the moment of the month when I invite you to slow down, to come closer. This category is dedicated to sensuality, the grain of the skin and the authenticity of stolen moments. Less pose, more presence... it is an invitation to see beauty at its most fleshly and most human.

Fantasies and fineart
Fantasy has a major problem: our era has saturated it with literal, noisy, almost clinical images. The moment the word is spoken, the collective imagination tips too quickly towards exhibition or the immediate consumption of the body. My work in the studio starts from exactly the opposite intention. How can fantasy be removed from vulgarity and raised to the rank of a plastic proposition? The answer lies not in what is revealed, but in how space is cut.
In sculpture, you learn very early that a block of stone or clay tells nothing until you create a hollow, an edge, a cast shadow. In art photography, the principle is strictly the same: light acts as a chisel. To approach this theme without falling into the trap of the predatory gaze, I chose to treat the subject not as a spectacle on offer, but as a living architecture. The skin is no longer a pretext, it becomes a texture, a dense geometric volume where shadow comes to lay down a salutary doubt.
During this session, everything came down to the centimetre on the light modifier. A very directive beauty dish, placed high and to the side, to break the anatomical obviousness. I wanted the silhouette to emerge from a deep black, with no spatial reference, like a bas-relief where matter struggles to free itself from the rock. The model does not pose to seduce; she inhabits her posture with a calm, almost hieratic authority. It is this sovereign presence that transmutes desire into contemplation.
This is the whole point of my approach to the artistic nude: to move the gaze from impulse towards the dreamlike. Eroticism has no need of frontality. It gains all its nobility when it becomes a graphic enigma, a tight dialogue between the roughness of a film grain and the taut softness of a curve. In this art of the nude, fantasy ceases to be a possession and becomes again what it has always been: a projection of the mind onto matter and an attempt to become a work of fantasies fineart.

I hope this sensual interlude touched you. Only one last door remains to be opened to close the month in style. Next week, I will unveil the What’s New in the Studio series, the final bouquet where I allow myself every technical experiment and the most accomplished stagings. Be there for the end of the cycle!
