What a pleasure to open this new monthly chapter with you, and with a new year too! Happy New Year to you all! As is becoming the tradition of this blog, we begin this cycle with the Visual Narratives. It is an introduction designed to be accessible to everyone, an artistic parenthesis where I set explicit nudity aside to concentrate on atmosphere, set and pure emotion. Make yourself comfortable, the journey starts here.

The Queens of Egypt, Sovereigns of the Nile: Sculpting the Myth.

For this Egyptian series, I did not try to reconstruct history or build fake papier-mâché sets. The spark came from encountering the work of Alena Artistique: her costumes, of crazy precision and opulence, already carried within them all the dramatic charge and power of ancient deities. All that remained was to build them a setting equal to their excess: the queens of Egypt.

This is where the exploration forked. For the photographer I am, who sees the image as a malleable material, the recent discovery of artificial-intelligence generation was a genuine aesthetic and technical shock. I used AI not as a shortcut, but as a tool of virtual sculpture. I was able to design sumptuous sets, impossible architectures, temples of black basalt and immense halls saturated with shadow, unthinkable to build in a studio.

The real technical challenge lay in the hybridisation: melting the fleshly reality of my models, the heavy texture of Alena’s fabrics and the directional light of my flashes into these digital environments. Each image demanded a millimetre-precise adjustment of the chiaroscuro so that the grain of the skin and the relief of the muscles would blend perfectly into the matter of the pixels. Ethically, these women do not suffer the set; they dominate it. They embody sovereign silhouettes, standing like monoliths. This work lies at the heart of my approach to the artistic nude and to art photography: a rigorous art of the nude that refuses voyeurism to celebrate only the architecture of the living, presence and pure power.

To see this week’s exhibitions or all of my work, here are the options:

I hope this first stop appealed to you. We are only just beginning. Next week, the mood will change radically. I look forward to meeting you to discover the Free Women series, where we will explore a much more graphic, bold and uninhibited aesthetic. Until then, take care!
